I believe there is an out of print transcript of St Leonard, Broseley MIs. I would be very grateful if anyone has a copy and can tell me if there are any entries for the surname MANN. If there are, I would be especially eternally grateful for the wording. I am trying to link my Staffordshire MANN family back to Broseley.

Thanks Mike. The MANN family seem to have been in Broseley for 100s of years and then mostly disappear after a child's baptism in 1730/1731. Do your MIs have entries that fact back, i.e. say pre-1750? Find My Past have a few burials spelt "MAN" too. My ancestral MANN family appear in Staffordshire around 1750 and I am trying to link the two sets of families together.

A modern transcript of the churchyard was made around the year 2000 and I presume this is the one that is reported as 'out of print'. That transcript does not include anyone named MANN.
Burials commenced in the cemetery in 1884 or 1885 and ceased in the churchyard in 1895 so it is important to state the year of death when looking for MIs. There is no published information about the cemetery but I may be able to check specific names provided the date of death is given.

Noah RODEN, famous clay pipemaker had a gravestone in St Laurence's churchyard, Broseley which is no longer there. Are there any details of monumental inscriptions for any of the RODEN family in Broseley as I will be there in just over a week?

If you click on the Broseley Local History Society link in my reply above it will bring up a PDF file. There may be a search option on your PDF viewer but if you can't see one press CTRL and whilst holding CTRL down press the letter F (Ctrl-F). This should bring up a search box on most PDF viewers where you can enter the surname Roden and press Find. Having read the information about the name you should have a Find Next or possibly just a down arrow to take you to the next instance of the name. There are numerous references to the name in the file.
In All Saints Churchyard, Broseley there is a grave for the BRITTON family which also includes -
"Thomas RODEN who d. 20 Mar 1846 / Aged 60 yrs. / Also Ann / wife of the above / who d. 10 Dec 1854 / Aged 68 yrs."
Is this any help to you? I don't have a plan of the grave location but if you go through the churchyard gates and turn left it should be about the seventh stone along the wall. I don't know if there is more than one gate.
There is a reference to "Will RODEN 21st September 1812 aged 85 years" in the grave of the ROWLAND family at the Baptist Chapel, BROSELEY. This grave should be located very close to the Chapel Hall, possibly between the hall and a fence or wall.

Hello.
The Broseley Local History Society website (see Mike's reply 11 December 2015) also has searchable transcriptions of the registers from 1570 to 1750 which include marriages and burials as well as baptisms. According to the index there are 56 MANN entries (I'm not sure how reliable it is), the last appears in November 1748, the marriage of Samuel EVANS and Damaris MANN.

I have access to some MIs for Broseley but don't know if they include the out of print transcript you refer to. Unfortunately the surname MANN does not appear in any I have.
Searching the Broseley burials up to 1900 on Find my Past only brings up eight entries.
