Hello Iris

If you click on 'Links' in the blue bar above then 'Shropshire Town & Village Sites' then select 'Lydbury North' where you will find a wealth of information including Monumental Inscriptions (centre top).  On the MIs page click on 'A - D' then on the next page 'B'.

There are two BUFTON graves at Nos. 70 & 196 near the end of the 'B's'.  There are photographs of some grave stones but unfortunately not your BUFTON graves.

Hello Mike

Thank you for this.

Would you believe. I came on this site to look for your contact number but cannot contact you privately.

I want to hire a researcher. I thought this site offered this service. . Maybe it is My Heritage. However,  I want someone who may still have old resources.

You assisted me to try and resolve a probem 7 years ago. I still have to get proof of a connection with other families in Shropshire. I had used a researcher to get my ancestor's birth place from the 1851 census in Pentonville Prison which only showed his initials occupation and birthplace. I discussed his birthplace on this forum which still comes up when you google the name.

See my old discussion at

Although I have discussed this family in my book I haven't put it in my charts because there is no proof. Others have. So I have just posted again looking for others researchingg someone in this large family from Lydbury..

See my new post

http://www.sfhs.org.uk/forum/bafton-and-bufton-lydbury-and-shrewsbury-sh....

I want to hire a researcher as everyone using the information I know about but have no proof. This hasn't stopped others from making this cnnection. It is out of hand.

I want to make sure. I am weeks awayfor submitting my typeset book for printing. I have been back though all my old data from 200 onwards and more recently.

I have to address this. Oh and the Claremont Baptist Meeting House I dissscusd 7 years ago was taken fom a source that stopped at 1808. I found another person born in 1810, my ancestor's birthdate. 1809/1810. This family was Bafton and I was interested because my ancestor was a Protestant andprobably registered as a non-conformist.

Anyway this is off topic to my question.

. Can you please help me or give me a link and do you have access to my private email.

Kind regards

Hello Mike

Thank you.

The "link" is no longer connected as a hyperlink.

i found "monumental inscriptions" under databases. You just need to put in the surname.

I found the Bufton entries and the references you noted.

I looked around the site and found a database of churches but not "Shropshire Town & Village Sites."

There is anothr link in Galleris showing Shropshire places. But I dont think this is what you would have referred to as Shropshire Town & Village Site

Regards

Hello Iris

With regard to my previous message the 'Links' item requires you to hover the mouse pointer over it until a drop down list appears then you can select the 'Shropshire Town & Village Sites' page.  You should be able to follow the rest of the sequence from there.
