My 6 x great-grandparents John SANDS and Judith COOKE were married at Penlee Chapel, which at that time was in Ellesmere parish, on 16 September 1679 and had 13 children baptised at St Mary's Ellesmere where they were buried in 1726 and 1738 respectively. I have been unable to find a baptism for either John or Judith, both of whom would probably have been born during the Commonwealth, when register-keeping was variable to say the least. Can anyone offer suggestions, please?
