Although the rules regarding lockdown and social distancing are beginning to relax the committee have thought long and hard about re-introducing our monthly meetings at Cross Houses.
We feel at this present time our meeting venue is not conducive to holding meetings as we could not have our usual stalls etc. and the facilities are not helpful in putting in place social distancing.
As an alternative we are looking at whether it would be possible to hold a virtual meeting to replace the monthly talk via the zoom platform which is an easy way to watch the talk on a computer.
You do not need a webcam just the ability to have sound. Access to a talk, if we proceed, will be by a link that will be sent by email.
It would be most helpful if you could let the Society know if you would be interested in joining this type of event in order that the committee can decide if it would be worthwhile.
Attendance would be free to members only.
We hope this approach will give those members who are unable to travel to Cross Houses the opportunity to be involved in a meeting.
Depending on the uptake a further email will be sent nearer the time with full details of the date time and speaker.
