Evening,
In the 1713 poll book I have found an ancestor who owned land in Water Upon, but his abode is listed as 'Ey-Farme'. By 1713, he had moved to Montford.
Does anyone have any ideas where this is, or if this might be a corruption?
I wonder if this is the Ey-Farme referred to - there is an Eye Farm in Leighton parish, Shropshire, near the River Severn, OS grid ref SJ6022605108. It is a grade 2 listed timber and brick farmhouse with parts possibly dating to the 14th or 15th century. There is a wonderful 1979 black and white photograph of it which I found via Google (search term - Eye Farm Leighton). See also the entry for "Eye Farmhouse" at www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk
