New Friends -

I am trying to trace my Great Great GrandFather - Josiah or James Hunt - (and Great Great Grandmother) whom Family stories say emigrated from Shropshire to Adelaide Australia by ship in the 1830/40s.

We have details of my Great Grandfather (James Mitchell Hunt) whom either came as a child on the same vessel with my Great Great Grandfather/Grandmother .....or.....or was born in Australia shortly after arrival.

James Mitchell Hunt married in Australia 1874 but the Aus records do not show information which would trace back to his father and mother therefore my Great Great Grandfather. My Great Grandfather did name two of his sons as Josiah and James respectively.

All Hunt named descendants from this James Mitchell Hunt continue carry  "Mitchell" as their second last name.

Any light that might be able to be shown would be appreciated.

Thanking you all - Kenneth Hunt
