Hello.  I am hoping someone can help me with my research into Samuel Craddock (b.1785) from Market Drayton.  He married Phoebe MUMFORD (1791-1851) and Samuel was a Shoemaker.  I know he had a business in Cheshire Street and Shropshire Street, and that his father Isaac was also a Shoemaker. (Samuel's brother Thomas was also a shoemaker in Market Drayton)

I would love to learn more about Samuel, his wife and family.  I can't find his death or what happened to the Shoemaking business.  As far as I know Samuel and Pheobe had 9 children and I have a bit of info on his daughter Caroline and her family.  I am happy to help anyone else with whatever I have already found out.

Samuel is my 4 x grt grandfather, anything I can find out would be great! (his wife Phoebe is also a bit of a mystery.....)

Thank you

Clare

Hi, don't know whether you are on Ancestry but someone is also researching same tree. I would be happy to contact them for you. Phoebe died in 1851 Market Drayton.

Thanks for the suggestion, I do use Ancestry and as yet have yet to find anyone with anything more than I have on the Craddocks.  I have found out lot on Samuel (census, children, business, quarter sessions and more), and the same for his wife Phoebe, now though I need to fill in the blanks.

The missing details are 1) where and when did Samuel die?   2) what happened to his business?   3) I need to find out more about his father Isaac and his brother Thomas, both shoemakers.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can suggest where to look or to anyone with any information regarding any Craddock.
